The Johns Hopkins Carnegie Center for Surgical Innovation
The Carnegie Center for Surgical Innovation is an interdisciplinary center for research and education in imaging and emerging image-guided interventions, including surgery, interventional radiology, and radiation oncology. As a nationally unique resource located in the heart of Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Carnegie Center forms a collaborative enterprise among faculty in the Schools of Medicine and Engineering. Key partnerships include the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Neurosurgery, Radiology, Radiation Oncology. Key to the Carnegie mission is translational activity to identify major clinical needs, drive development of new imaging and interventional technologies, translate advances to clinical use, and cultivate the next generation of engineers and clinicians.
